Derek Fields has served Thomas More Society as the Development Director for the Southeast since May of 2024, covering territory from Florida all the way to Texas and Oklahoma across the American South. He is always excited and fascinated getting to meet with Thomas More Society's generous donors to help them promote their mutual passions for life, family, and freedom.

Prior to Thomas More Society Derek worked for CrossFit Inc. in a government relations and public policy role and owned his own CrossFit gym, learning much about managing relationships and all the ins and outs of running a small business.

Derek graduated from Hillsdale College in 2014, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in economics and picking up a minor in Latin because of his interest in Greco-Roman history and mythology.

He and his wife Morgan married in 2022 and live outside Orlando, FL with their young son Teddy, who was born in December of 2024. Outside of work and time with his family Derek is heavily involved in his church, loves playing with his two dogs, Ragnar and Sven, as well as archery, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and continuing his pursuit of health and fitness taught to him in his previous jobs.
