Here's the latest from the past week:

TMS DEMANDS NEW JERSEY SCHOOL DISTRICT RESCIND UNCONSTITUTIONAL "GENDER SECRECY" POLICY: Fresh off a landmark Supreme Court victory in Mirabelli v. Bonta, Thomas More Society is putting school districts across the country on notice—starting in the Garden State.

This week, Thomas More Society sent a demand letter to the Westwood Regional School District Board, demanding the district rescind its Policy 5756, which mandates school staff conceal children's gender changes from their parents and actively facilitate "social transitions" without parental knowledge or consent. The Board has 20 days to rescind the unconstitutional policy and guarantee compliance with federal law, or Thomas More Society will commence federal court litigation.

"No school district has a right to secretly 'transition' children to another gender," said Christopher Ferrara, TMS Senior Counsel. "Parents send their children to school every day trusting that the district is in partnership with them—not working around them. Policy 5756 destroys that trust.”

"Westwood Regional is the first school district to receive a demand letter from Thomas More Society following our victory at the Supreme Court, but it will not be the last," said Peter Breen, TMS Executive Vice President & Head of Litigation. "Requests for help are coming in from parents across the country whose school districts are still operating under the same unconstitutional framework the Supreme Court has now condemned."

GOSNELL, NOTORIOUS "HOUSE OF HORRORS" ABORTIONIST, DEAD AT 85: Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortionist convicted of murdering three infants born alive during illegal late-term abortions, died this month at the age of 85.

Gosnell was serving three consecutive life sentences following his 2013 conviction. His West Philadelphia clinic became known as a "house of horrors" after investigators uncovered disgusting conditions and staff testified that hundreds of babies were born alive and subsequently killed. His case exposed the disastrous consequences of lax oversight of abortion businesses.

Gosnell's crimes remain a sobering reminder that the abortion industry consistently operates with little accountability, and the most vulnerable—women and their preborn children—pay the price. Thomas More Society remains committed to holding abortionists and the abortion industry accountable to the law, and to fighting for the safety of every woman and child.

TMS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT PETER BREEN DELIVERS KEYNOTE AT HEARTBEAT INTERNATIONAL'S PREGNANCY HELP CONFERENCE: This week, TMS Executive Vice President & Head of Litigation Peter Breen took the stage at Heartbeat International's Pregnancy Help Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, to deliver a powerful keynote on the frontlines of defending life.

Peter shared the inspiring stories of Elizabeth and Erika, whose babies were born healthy thanks to Abortion Pill Reversal (APR), and made the case for why this life-saving protocol must be protected from those who seek to eliminate it. He also equipped pregnancy help centers with proactive legal strategies to defend themselves against the growing wave of pro-abortion lawfare targeting their vital work.

Thomas More Society is proud to stand with Heartbeat International and affiliated pregnancy centers across the nation as they serve women and save lives. With more than 8,000 babies saved through Heartbeat International’s Abortion Pill Rescue Network and counting, the stakes could not be higher. From California to New York, we are in the courtroom fighting for every mom's right to a second chance.
