Steve Jacobs serves as Special Counsel for Thomas More Society and as Director of Education for Illinois Right to Life. His work focuses on constitutional law, public policy, and legal scholarship on life-related issues. His scholarship has appeared in the Tennessee Law Review and Issues in Law and Medicine, and his commentary has been published in outlets including Newsweek, The Hill, and the Washington Examiner. He contributed to the amicus briefs Thomas More Society submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court in June Medical Services v. Russo and Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. As a James Wilson Institute Fellow, he studied natural law under Professors Hadley Arkes, Gerard Bradley, and David Forte.

Steve received his B.A., summa cum laude, in Psychology from Northeastern Illinois University in 2009, and he received his M.A. and Ph.D. in Comparative Human Development from the University of Chicago in 2019, where he examined the legal and ethical principles underlying the U.S. abortion debate. He graduated from Northwestern University School of Law in 2016. In law school, he completed the accelerated two-year J.D. program, was part of the Law Scholars Program, won the ABA Student Negotiation Competition (Midwest Region), and received certification in mediation from the Chicago Center for Conflict Resolution. He also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Robert W. Gettleman of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and worked as a summer associate at Dechert LLP.
