Joan Mannix serves as Executive Vice President and Managing Counsel at Thomas More Society, specializing in civil appellate practice. She has written hundreds of appellate briefs and argued before the Illinois Appellate Court, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Illinois Supreme Court, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Her victories include a $16 million judgment reversal and an $8.3 million wrongful death verdict.

Joan holds a bachelor's degree in History and a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame. She volunteered for the Peace Corps, teaching science in Burkina Faso. She has been recognized multiple times as an Illinois Super Lawyer and has co-authored chapters on Settlement and Compromise and Settlement Procedures for IICLE publications.
