Here's the latest from the past week:
TODAY: TMS IN COURT FOR MAJOR SUMMARY JUDGEMENT HEARING IN MIRABELLI v. OLSON: Thomas More Society was in court today for a climactic summary judgement hearing in Mirabelli v. Olson. Just days before today’s hearing, the California Department of Education (CDE) removed a gender-identity FAQ from its website that included gender secrecy directives. State Education Defendants’ latest filings acknowledge that the withdrawal was prompted by issues raised regarding California’s own PRISM teacher training materials that TMS attorneys say the CDE used to distribute gender secrecy directives despite claiming to the court that they have been rescinded. Whistleblowers recently identified these PRISM materials with gender secrecy directives referencing the same guidance California claimed no longer existed. In response, the PRISM webpage was taken down just days before today’s hearing.
Today’s summary judgment hearing could result in a decision that determines whether California education officials violated parents’ and teachers’ constitutional rights by forcing school staff to keep gender-related information hidden from parents. Stay tuned for updates in this crucial case!

PLANNED PARENTHOOD DEFUNDED IN NEBRASKA: Thomas More Society honored Governor Jim Pillen with the Defender of Life Award last week at our 15th Annual Banquet in Omaha, Nebraska, highlighting pro-life achievements throughout his tenure as Governor of Nebraska. Most recently, Governor Pillen signed an Executive Order defunding Planned Parenthood in the state by restricting taxpayer dollars from going to abortion providers. Thomas More Society cheers Governor Pillen’s defunding of Planned Parenthood and his ongoing pro-life initiatives in the Cornhusker State.
